Once You're Here...
Lake City Ice Climbs is located right on the southwest
edge of town.  From the historic downtown area, go
west until you reach Bluff Street.  Head south toward
the Engineer Pass Road (County Road 20.  Look for
the Ice Climbs on the left side across Henson Creek.

Driving to Lake City
Lake City is located in the San Juan Mountains of
southwestern Colorado, about 55 miles south of
Gunnison on State Highway 149, and 74 miles north
of South Fork.  

Check the
road conditions before you head out.

Flying
The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC)
offers car rentals and is served by American Airlines,
United, and United Express (more airline services
are available in the winter months).  The Montrose
Regional Airport (MTJ), about a two-hour drive away,
offers car rentals and is served by Continental
Airlines, American Airlines, and United Express.
